Bobby I. Foster was born May 2, 1957, to the late Robert L. and Beatrice Foster in Michigan City, Indiana. He departed this life on July 20, 2021, at his home.
Bobby graduated from the Elston High School in Michigan City, Indiana. As a young man Bobby loved the game of basketball and played very well.
Bobby was previously employed with Anco Mogul Products of Michigan City for several years. After leaving the workforce he went on to living and enjoying a carefree life. Bobby enjoyed collecting music and other collectables. He was known as an excellent “Shade Tree Mechanic” - always willing to do mechanical work for those in need. Bobby was always ready for a good conversation.
Bobby accepted Christ at an early age at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He later joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Emeritus Ivy Corley and continued under the leadership of Pastor Gregory McKeel. He enjoyed gospel music and loved to sing solos.
A Celebration of life will be Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 11:00am, with Visitation from 10:00am until the time of service at Mt. Moriah Church 418 N. Ridgeland Ave. Michigan City, Indiana. In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church.
Bobby leaves to cherish his memory sister, Beverly A. Foster, and nephew Blake C. Foster. Aunt, Shirley Davis of St. Louis, MO and uncle, James (Dorothy) Foster, Silver Springs, MD, special aunt Vera Foster, special cousins, Kimberly Goolsby and Camisha Foster, special friends and caregivers, Walter (Vernessa) Fry, Corliss Cooper, Cora Cambridge, William (Monica) McFerson all of Michigan City and a host of relatives and friends.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ricky L. Foster, special aunt and uncle Freddie Mae and James Baker and a host of aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
