Annette L. Woodard, my life, what can I tell you about my life? How about June 15, 1960 is where it all begins. On that day I was born in Michigan City, Indiana to Crender Woodard I and Irene (Flowers) Woodard, whom both preceded me in death.
Annette graduated from Elston High School in 1978. She served 30 years of her life at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She was over the Youth Department and a Sunday School Teacher. She was devoted to serve as an Usher.
Annette was recently employed by Centers for Pain Control and Vein Care. She was a billing and coding specialist for 11 years.
Annette loved being with her family. She enjoyed cookouts, going shopping, and going to the movies with her babies. She loved all of her nieces and nephews. Annette was a loving and caring mother and friend. She was a social butterfly and loved to dance and Jazzercise. She love to party and dance with family and friends.
Annette departed her life on Saturday February 15, 2020 at 5:25 a.m., at the Franciscan Health Michigan City, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her son, Brandon Davis; two brothers, Bruce Anthony Woodard and Crender Woodard II and daughter-in-law, Ashley Blake-Woodard.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her beloved children; Antoine Woodard and Brandi Richard both of Michigan City, Indiana; six adoring grandchildren, Annette Woodard, Antoine Woodard, Ira Woodard, Keon Woodard, Rayasia Woodard and Xzavier Woodard; two bonus grandchildren, Xzavia and Xzaviona; twelve siblings, six sisters, Sarah (John) Garner, Shirley Meriweather, Roegean Woodard, Earnestine Rivera, Dorothy Flowers, and Lisa Woodard all of Michigan City, Indiana; six brothers, Roy Woodard, Jeff (Brenda) Woodard, Vincent Woodard, Leon (Shaniqua) Woodard, Terry Woodard and Ted Woodard all of Michigan City, Indiana and one special brother, Leondardo Victory II; special nieces and nephews; Ashlynn Woodard, Bruce Woodard, Mehki Woodard, Jordynn Bush, and Journee Bush; five Aunts; Odessa Henderson of Gary, Indiana, Elorna Bland of Memphis, Tennessee, Eunice Dickens, Bertha Peterson both of Michigan City, Indiana, Florida Pryor Detroit, Michigan and three uncles Alphus Woodard of Michigan City, Indiana, Martin Woodard and Dennis (Linda) Woodard of Memphis, Tennessee; goddaughter, Demina Walker; special friends; Becky Tyler, Marsha Calvin, Carla Ann Turner, Dede Lenoir, Alicia Torrence, Tina Mahone and Sandy Dabney and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, associates and her Church Family.
A celebration of her life will be noon, Friday, February 28, 2020 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Jacarra Williams to give the eulogy. Burial will take place at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Viewing will be 11am, Friday, February 28, 2020 at the church until the time of service.
