Andrea Reed

Her Life Story...

On August 29th three great things happened. In 1951 her Great-Grandparents, Rudolph & Sadie Hart (preceded in death) got married and started a family. In 1958 Micheal Jackson was born, and in1983 a very special baby was born to Annie Faye Hart and Ronald Reed. That baby is the reason all of her loved ones and friends are here today. She was named Andrea Trasheal Reed.

In 1984 she got her first and life playmate, Uncle Billie D. In 1985 her favorite cousin and second playmate for life came Carlos Hart. In 1990 her Lil Big Cousin and third playmate for life came, DeAngelo Coleman. This crew called themselves "The A,B,C,D Clique" born in that order Andrea, Billie, Carlos, and DeAngelo. The loving bond and fun times between them were unbreakable and they are really gonna miss her. Cousin D'Marco Coleman Simmons (The D2) came later.

In 1991 she got her wish, her precious (Baby Bird as she called him) Brother and only sibling Christopher Bowen was born, and she treated him as such. She adored him and wanted to protect him till this very day and will continue to do so now from above as his Guardian Angel. Andrea had a deep and loving relationship with all of her grandparents, Grandpa Jerome (Denny Frierson) Harrison Sr., (preceded in death) and Granny Sherry Harrison has always been present and loving in her upbringing. She loved spending time with both of them and immediate family members. Granny Donna Perry-Christine Hart was her love.They were very close, and she played a big part in raising her, taking her to church to learn the love of God. Andrea and GranMa Reed (Lillie Reed Evans who preceded in death) were pure love and entertainment. They did a lot of things together and shared a love for clothing and dressing up.

Andrea gained her wings on March 30, 2025. Immediate family members that preceded in death: Uncle Roy Coleman Jr, Auntie Trasheal Harrison, and her Lil Cousin Austin Jenkins.

On September 19, 2002 Andrea's most precious gift was given to her and us, her only child Anasti Joy Marie Reed. To Andrea nothing could have been more perfect, and she'll truly miss her mother's ever-present love. And from the family, love Anasti will never be short of. There are a lot of special and honorary people that Andrea leaves to cherish. Her parents: Annie Faye Hart and Ronald Reed, and If you are present, please stand briefly to be acknowledged. Maternal Family: her Favorite Auntie: Angela (James) Coleman-Nichols; Uncles: Jason (Shanay) Coleman; Jerome Harrison Jr.;  Auntie /Big Cousin: Lesley Hart; Special Cousin: Ladonna Skates; Special Lil Cousin: Amiah Perry Fraternal Family; Special Aunties: Joann Reed, Jackie Reed; Auntie: Jennifer Evans; Uncle: David (Zoe) Reed; Cousin/Godmother: Andrea "Robin" Newsome-Mason; Helen Griffen-West; Honorary Aunties: Tracee Freeman; and Debra Styles; Good Friends: Candice Bostic, Angel Nash, Lacey May; Andrea has a host of Grandparents, Aunties, Uncles and Friends that she loved and that loved her very much. Andrea had a very special love for all her cousins, and she has a lot (cousins please stand up) and they are all, really going to miss her.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 1pm, New Hope Baptist Church 730 W. 6th St. Michigan City, Indiana 46360 with Min. James Owens to be Eulogist.

Viewing will be 12 noon until time of service at the Church. A full obituary will be forthcoming.
