Adrian Ewing Dabney peacefully accepted his wings on October 22, 2018.
Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, November 3, 2018 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church 730 West 6th with Rev. John McGee to officiate burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Viewing will be 10am Saturday at the church until the time of service.
Adrian Ewing Dabney was born in Michigan City, Indiana on January 27, 1960 to the union of the late Lonnie and Versie Lee Dabney
Early on Adrian worked at Blocksom as a material handler, Michigan City Parks as a groundskeeper continuing on in Landscaping and working at the car lot. He found great joy in simple task like cutting lawns, leaf cleanup, gutter clean out, shoveling snow, building sheds and helping the Eastport community to keep the landscape clean and neat. Adrian was very compassionate about his work. He enjoyed dancing with his sisters.
Adrian joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church late in Life but went on to profess his sins and gave his life to the Lord
Adrian leaves to cherish his memories his sons Adrian Ewing Dabney, Jr. and Marquez (Tiana Wilson) Dabney, Sr. both of Michigan City, IN and Antonio Serritella, FL; one daughter, BreShell Dabney of Indianapolis, IN; loving sisters, Taleathia Hairston, Carol Williams, Carla Michele Dabney, Sangella Thomas and Candace (Luba) Dabney all from Michigan City, IN; two brothers, Levi “Ricky” Ashley of Englewood, CA and John David Ashley of Michigan City, IN; grandchildren who loved him Aniya, Keira and Marquez Dabney Jr, Rayiana Byrd, Nyshala Brown, Antonio, Jr and Jazarion King Serritella; special friends, Nick Flowers, Russell Lipsey, John Peterson and Elizabeth Crap; ten nieces, eight nephews and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. We will truly miss you.
He was also preceded in death by parents; grandparents, Audry “Big Momma” Payne, John and Lillian Franklin and his sister Sabrina (Ashley) Nixon; two nephews, Olajuwon P. Ashley and Orlando L. Ashley.
