Adan Jose Gomez Jr.

His Story...

Adan Jose Gomez Jr., was born May 14, 1970 to Delores Lopez Gomez and Adan Gomez Sr., in Laporte, Indiana.

Adan worked at Crystal Finishing in Weston, Wisconsin for five years. He also worked at Pottawatomie Country Club and there he learned to be a chef. Adan was also a former cook at Blue Chip Casino and various other restaurants in Indiana and Michigan. Cooking was his passion, and he enjoyed it throughout the years. Adan’s heart was his family. He was there to give a listening ear or a helping hand if anyone ever needed anything. He also enjoyed music. He would of gave the shirt off his back if necessary. Adan had a great funny sense of humor and had a smile that could light up a room. He brought joy to all that knew him. Adan enjoyed watching wrestling, football, baseball, and UFC. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. Once you were a friend you were like family to him.

Adan J. Gomez Jr. gained his wings on April 19, 2023 at Franciscan Health. He was preceded in death by his parents: Adan Gomez Sr., and Delores Gomez, one brother: Carlos Oyola.

He leaves to cherish a lifetime of memories his loving wife Candace Lynn Walker of Michigan City, IN; one son Antonio Jose Gomez of Mosinee, WI; two daughters: Alexis Marie Gomez, Alonna Gomez both of Michigan City, IN; one brother: Pedro (Melissa) Gomez Sr., all of Michigan City, IN; sister: Bertha Gomez of Kronenwetter, Wetter, WI; nieces: Shaylynn Gomez, Claudia Rubio, Maribel Rubio, and Patricia Rubio, nephews: Pedro Gomez Jr., and  Niko Gomez, special brothers: Polo Pacheco Lopez, Jorge Lopez, Keng Lee, Rick Coleman, Jason Kirby, and Willie Kleist, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Adan’s presence, smile, love, and laughter will be missed by all that knew him.

A Celebration of life will be Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 2pm-4pm at Coleman & Hicks Chapel 101 S. Karwick Rd. Michigan City, Indiana 46360.
