Vicente Rivera

Vicente Rivera departed this life on November 23, 2019.

Viewing will be Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Coleman&Hicks Chapel.

Vicente was born April 30, 1943 in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico to the late Vicente Rivera and Esperanza (Villaronta) Rivera.

Mr. Rivera worked at Josam and later retired from Long Beach Country Club as a chef. He enjoyed fishing, playing softball. Mr. Rivera was an avid Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears fan. He played in a band, he obtain a 2nd degree black belt in marital arts.

Vicente leaves to cherish his fond memories, his lifelong sweetheart, Annette Jeanes of Michigan City, Indiana; five children, Vicente (Karrie) Rivera Jr., of South Bend, Indiana, Carlos (Terry) Rivera of Michigan City, Indiana, Carmita Rivera of Jacksonville, Florida, Diego Rivera of Indianapolis, Indiana and Dominique Jeanes of Atlanta, Georgia; siblings, Primo (Joyce) Rivera, Jorge (Chris) Tejero, Aida Reyes and Nereida (Jose) Bello; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by three siblings, Miguel Rivera, Norberta Rivera and Candida R. Jenkins and one grandchild.
