Tom Williams

Tom Williams 82, of Michigan City, Indiana departed this life on August 31, 2018 in South Bend, Indiana.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Coleman & Hicks Chapel, viewing will be 12:00pm, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the chapel until the time of service.

Tom Williams the son of Minor Sr. and Bedie (Thompson) Williams was born February 21st 1936.

 Tom moved to Chicago, Illinois in the early 1950s where he met and married Jessie Mae Harris on September 27th 1957. They were married 61 years and blessed with 5 children.

Tom worked for Obie's Catering until retirement. Outside of work Tom loved fishing, cooking, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. His most joyous moments were helping raise his grandchildren and great grandchildren but his most favorite activity was eating butterscotch candy!

 Tom leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Jessie Mae Williams; one brother Eddie Williams; three daughters, Adline (Willie) Binion of Birmingham, Alabama, Reva Williams-Flowers of  Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Tanisha (Ronald) Lee of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sons, Clyde (Gwendolyn) Williams of Michigan City, Indiana and Leroy Pinkney of Chicago Illinois; 7 grandchildren; LaShawn L. Williams, LaQuita S. Flowers, Shaniqua S. Williams-Stalling, Amani S. Williams, Aniyah S. Lee, Daphne Hicks and Fredrick Hicks; special daughter Cecelia(Sonny) Beck and special friends, EC.Ellis, Ike Maybon, Nick, and Larry.

He was preceded in death by his father, Minor and mother, Bedie Williams; two sisters Larura B. Kendrick and Lena Mae Pharr; three brothers, Dan Williams, Minor Williams Jr., and Preston Williams; one nephew, Danny Williams and one niece, Renee Williams; special friends, Harvey Wright, Charles and Ethel Pinkney.
