Stephen Dale Butler (Steve) was born September 8, 1961 in Michigan City, Indiana to Marion Frierson and Precious (Billy) Butler.
Steve attended Rogers Senior High School. He accepted Christ early in his life. In the early 1990’s Steve relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana for several years and later returned to Michigan City. Steve enjoyed being around friends and family having a good time. He was always the life of the party with a huge sense of humor, sometimes raw and uncut. Steve never hesitated to help anyone and would go out of his way if it was necessary. He would always watch over the elderly people in the community ensuring that their yards were raked and sidewalks shoveled.
Steve departed this life on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at St. Franciscan Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father Precious Butler; brother Timothy Butler; paternal grandparents Kenny and Zenovia Butler; maternal grandfather Robert Frierson; nephew Brendan Blue and special friend, Russell Taylor.
