Penny D. Butler departed this life on October 26, 2019.
Funeral services will be 12pm, Friday, November 8, 2019 at High Praise Outreach Ministries with Apostle Javaugh Blakely to give the eulogy. Viewing will be 11am, Friday, November 8, 2019 at High Praise Outreach Ministries.
Penny Delmyra Smith-Butler was born on August 26,1963 in Michigan City, Indiana. To the late Chester A. Smith Sr. and Rivers Virgina Smith.
She attended Michigan City public school system.
Penny decided to give her life over to Christ and
married her first love Durmon Z. Butler Jr. in March of 1998. Where they attended Hatchet Temple C.O.G.I.C under the leadership of the late Pastor Durmon Z. Butler Sr.
Penny had the most beautiful, loving, heartwarming soul you will ever encounter. She was a woman full of wisdom, very uplifting and a bright light in every room. Penny open her doors and heart to anyone in need without question.
The personality she carried was undeniably funny even through her sickness, she found a sense of humor. Penny was praying and God fearing woman who would preach the word everywhere she went.
There are no words to describe how much she will be truly missed. One of her favorite sayings where, ̈ Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm.¨
Penny later joined High Praise Outreach Ministries, under the leadership of Apostle Javaughn Blakely Sr. Where she was a faithful member up until her death.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents, Chester A. Smith Sr. and Rivers Virgina Smith, husband Durmon Z. Butler Jr., fraternal sister Yolonda Frierson, children, Tommy Young III
and Madaline Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memories her three beautiful daughters, Candace Young of South Bend, IN, Chaquies Smith of Michigan City, IN and Angie Smith of South Bend,IN; Maternal Siblings, Lesia Smith, Chester Smith Jr, Corey Smith, Richard Smith, Angie Watkins, Nicholas Smith all of Michigan City, IN and Chelsea Kelly of South Bend,IN; Fraternal Siblings, Charlotte Frierson, Madeline Frierson both of Michigan City,IN;
Ernest Frierson and Charles Frierson both of South Bend,IN; Special Brother and caretaker, Chester Smith Jr.; Special Niece, Markesha Delmyra Smith;
Special Nephew, Damien Smith; Childhood Friend- Debra Richards-McCormick; Special Friend, Andrea Johnson; eleven beautiful grandchildren whom she loved and cared for dearly; and a host of family and
friends.
