Mrs. Willie Ruth Warren was born October 3, 1944 in Madison County in Canton, Mississippi to the late Johnnie Luckett Sr., and Mrs. Willie Mae Luckett.

Mother Warren was called home on January 3, 2018 at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valapariso, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husbands, Eugene Lenoir and Rev. James Warren, step-father James Johnson, one sister and one brother, one daughter, Sandra Williams Parks, one son, Wayne Parks and one grandson, Jonathan Savado.

Willie Ruth accepted Christ at an early age where she joined Little Zion Methodist Church in Canton, Mississippi. She attended King High School in Canton, Mississippi. In 1968 she moved to Michigan City where she became a home health care worker.

On April 4, 1989 she married her first late husband Eugene Lenoir until he preceded her in death. Willie Ruth later remarried Rev. James Warren on August 9, 2009 until his passing in 2017.  She was formerly a member of Morning Star Baptist Church and currently a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she served diligently as a nurse and on the Mothers Board.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories, one daughter, Cathy (Dennis) Beard, one son Kenny Parks, one special grandson she raised since an infant Shaquille Williams, all of Michigan City, Indiana; eight brothers, Sherman Roberts of Chicago, Illinois; Johnnie (Burlean) Luckett Jr. of Canton, Misssissippi;  Charles (Leslie) Luckett of Gulfport, Mississippi; Rev. Paul Luckett of Jackson, Mississippi;  Percy Luckett, Darrel Luckett, Joseph Luckett, and Michael Luckett all of Mobile, Alabama; eight sisters, Rose Henry of Canton, Mississippi; Dorothy (Sylvester) Jackson of Michigan City, Indiana; Gracie Luckett, Abrams Luckett, Annie Luckett, Ella Luckett, Kathy Luckett, and Vernessa Luckett all of Mobile, Alabama; one aunt Leslie Roberts of Chicago, Illinois; special daughter, Yolanda Davis; special friends, Rev. Danny Brown and Joyce Lipsey; along with a host of grand-children, great-grandchildren, her church family, other relatives, and friends.
