Mary Taylor Obituary

Mary Louise Lomax Taylor was born November 9, 1942 in Hazlehurst Mississippi to Willie Mae Bradley and the late Mack Lomax.

While she resided in Michigan City, Mary was employed at Michigan City Paper Box Company for a significant number of years.

Mary married Leeroy Taylor September 20th, 1980 and relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana where she resided until she gained her wings on August 9th, 2019.

Mary was affectionately known by many names by her friends and loved ones, aka Mom, Louise, Weezy, and Sis. She was known for her witty personality as well as her kindness, generosity and selflessness. Her resiliency was second to none.

Mary was proceeded in death by her Husband, Leeroy Taylor; Father, Mack Lomax; Step Father, Jessie Amico and Brother George Williams Sr.

She leaves the following to cherish her memories: Mother, Willie Mae Amico; Daughter Lia Lynette Taylor; Brother, Neal (Sonja)Amico;  Step sisters, Versie Hairston, Tammy Amico, April Scivally; Stepbrother; Tommy (Jerry) Amico, Special niece Audra Winston and Special nephew  Christopher Williams; and a host of other nieces and  nephews and (1) grandson Jayceon Taylor. Special friend, Annie Hervey.

Mary will be missed by all that knew and loved her!!!  Rest Easy!!!

Funeral services will be 12pm, Friday, August 16, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Lakeland with Rev. Howard Daniel to officiate burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Viewing will be 11am, Friday, August 16, 2019 at the church.
