Mrs. Lennie Mae Harrison Frierson departed this life on June 23, 2019.

Memorial Celebration will be 11am, Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019 at Coleman & Hicks Chapel.

Mrs. Lennie Mae Harrison Frierson was born on February 5, 1922 to Josephine Isom in Tennessee.

At a young age, Lennie moved to Gary, Indiana where she met Robert Lee Harrison Frierson Sr., Robert and Lennie united in marriage on July 17, 1936. In this union ten children was born. She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church until her health began to fail.

Lennie loved spending time with her family. She looked forward to the holidays and family gatherings. She enjoyed riding the City Bus around town viewing the scenery. Lennie spent a lot of her time watching sports especially football. The Chicago Bears was her favorite team. She also enjoyed reading.

Mrs. Frierson leaves to cherish her memories, six children, three sons, Jerome (Sherry), Leonard and David all of Michigan City, Indiana; three daughters, Brenda of Pikeville, Maryland, Marion and Barbara both of Michigan City, Indiana; one daughter-in-law, Gloria Harrison of Tampa, Florida and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harrison Frierson Sr.; mother Josephine Isom; one daughter, Pastor Ethel Betty Lou Allen; three sons, Robert Harrison Frierson Jr., Edward Henry Frierson and Leon Curtis Frierson; one daughter-in-law, Bridgett Farmer; one son-in-law, Herbert  S. Allen; five grandchildren, Tarasheal Harrison, Albert Lee Price Jr., Timothy Butler, Tabatha Wilson-Davis and Stephen D. Butler; one great grandson, Brendan Blue.
