Mr. L. B. Steward was born January 29, 1960 in Canton, Mississippi to the late Caleb Steward and Arlena (Ware) Steward.

In 1968, L. B. came to Michigan City with his parents. He attended Harrison Elementary, Mullen Elementary and Elston High School. He loved dancing, fishing, bike riding and he trained dogs. As a young adult he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a short time before moving back to Michigan City, Indiana.

Mr. L. B. Steward departed this life on October 5, 2017 in Michigan City, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Marcus Pryor; sisters, Betty Edmond, Lue Doris Hull and Jessie Edmond-George; brothers, Leroy Steward and Johnnie Steward; sister-in-law, Belinda Steward; four brother-in-laws, Willie Edmond,  Allen George,  Leon White and Eddie Hull; three nephews Kenny Brown, Freddie Steward and Patrick Elliott; niece, Teresa Edmond.

He is survived by his siblings, Henrietta White, Betty Sims, Arleen (Shelley)Miller, Arlena (Dennis) Hart, Evelyn Washington all of Michigan City, Indiana and Callie Steward of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; brothers, Willie Steward and Robert (Carmen) Steward both of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and L. P. (Lovie) Steward of Michigan City, Indiana; three grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
