Julia “Judy Allison” Culph, 67 transition peacefully at the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family on March 31, 2019.
Judy was born March 31, 1952 to James and Viola (Hobson) Culph in Michigan City, Indiana, the baby girl of seven children she graduated from Isaac C. Elston High School in 1970.
Judy enjoyed going to church, work, and hanging out with her sister and her niece every weekend. She worked at Stepping Stone Shelter in Michigan City as well as numerous other jobs. She was a faithful member to her church home Michigan City Voice of Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren every chance she got. She also enjoyed shopping with her daughter.
Judy leaves to cherish her fond memories: one son, Larry Allison, Michigan City; one daughter, Liza (Danny)Smith, Michigan City: two loving sisters; Marie Lewis and Dora Allison, Michigan City; two brothers, Leon and Jerome Allison, Michigan City; seven grandchildren, Sergio Adams and Princess Wright, Michigan City, Caprease, Sharena, Jalisa,Tramaine, and Jermaine Allison of Michigan City, and 16 great grandchildren; one special niece, Annette Mitchell, Michigan City and one special friend Ivy Dale Orr, Michigan City and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Culph and Viola Allison, one sister: Barbra Woodley, two brothers: Tommie and Jeffery Allison, one great grandson: Prince Jamal Bush, one niece, Mary Tejero, five nephews; Bob Lewis, Tommie James, Tommie James Jr., Ronnie Allison and Jorge Tejero.
