Mr. Johnny L. Anderson, 49, Michigan City departed this life on November 7, 2017 at Franciscan St. Anthony Hospital.

Funeral services will be 12pm, Saturday, November 18, 2017 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church 730 West 6th Street with Rev. Ronnie Gaston to officiate. Viewing will be 11am, Saturday, at the church until the time of service.

Johnny was born on June 21, 1968 to James L. Anderson and Claudia (Welton) Taylor. On October 7, 2017 in Michigan City, Indiana he married, Beth Krikava.

Johnny was a graduate of  Elston High School Class of 1988. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, Johnny loved playing basketball, Boston Celtics was his favorite NBA team.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Beth Anderson of Michigan City, Indiana; mother Claudia (Horace) Taylor of Monterey, Indiana; eight children, Johnny Anderson of Marion, Indiana, Jacoda Anderson of South Bend, Indiana, Janicia Anderson, Symphony Anderson, Serenity Anderson, Silas Anderson, Julius Anderson and Jasmine Anderson all of Michigan City, Indiana; four sisters, Claudette (J.D.) McClain of Kokomo, Indiana, Denise (Ivory)  Joyner of Indianapolis, Indiana, Annette (Robert) Rutledge of Michigan City, Indiana and Beatrice (William) Burke of Kingslake, Indiana; five brothers, R.T. (Betty) Roberts, Jr., of Rochester, Indiana, Nathan Roberts of Sioux Falls, North Dakota, William (Heather) Roberts of Culver, Indiana, Daniel Roberts of Monterey, Indiana and Anthony (Veronica) Anderson of Logansport, Indiana; three grandchildren, Quincy Anderson, Jemetric Anderson and Ja’Riley Anderson and a host of relatives and friends.

Johnny was preceded in death by his father, James L. Anderson and one sister, Sylvia Ann Cannon-Clark.
