Johnnie was born to the parents of Johnnie Carter Sr. and LaDonna Gray-King on Aug. 19, 1993 in Maywood IL. There he attended Washington School. Later on in July of 2006 he moved to Michigan City with his mom. Where he attended Barker middle school then LaPorte High School.
Johnnie accepted Christ at an early age, he rededicated his life at Advancing Christ Kingdom Ministries, under Pastors Dierre & Patricia Glenn.
Johnnie loved working, fixing and driving cars, his children and family. Being around Johnnie was laughter and fun. He had a sweet and funny personality. One thing about J he loved to look good.
Johnnie departed this life on December 27, 2018 at LaPorte Hospital. He was preceeded in death by his father Johnnie Carter Sr.; his niece Mya Taylor; his granddads Rev. Wilbia Turner, Conaway Gray Sr. & Walter Carter; his grandmother's Pamela Gray, and Izola Carter; his uncle Michael Chestnut and cousin David Allen.
Johnnie leaves to cherish his memories, two sons Zaidin Potter and Jayden Carter both of LaPorte In. Two sisters Denesha (Marcus) Taylor of Aurora IL, Dowanda (Jarvel) Woods La porte IN. Two brothers Anthony(Hannah) Starks Jr. Hanover Park IL, Dennis Rice Jr. South Holland IL. A special god sister Jessica Sample. And the Love of his life Allison Dubbs of LaPorte IN. Five niece's & seven nephew's and a host of Aunts and Uncles, cousins & friends.
Funeral services will be 11am, Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Coleman & Hicks Chapel with Pastor Dierre Glenn to officiate Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery. Viewing will be 4:00-6:00 Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Coleman & Hicks Chapel.
