Geneva Lewis departed this life on March 2, 2017 at Franciscan St. Anthony Hospice.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Coleman & Hicks Chapel 101 Karwick Road, Michigan City with Dr. Stanley Mason officiating. The visitation will be 10:00am Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the chapel.

Geneva Lewis was born on March 23, 1923 to the late Willie Richardson and Willie Mae (Harris) Richardson in Arkansas.

She was a devoted housewife.  Geneva enjoyed doing puzzles. She was an Eastern Star. Geneva was a member of Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she song in the church choir.

Geneva leaves to cherish her fond memories, one sister, Samella Lewis, Michigan City, Indiana; one niece and her caretaker, Samella Hunter, Michigan City, Indiana; nephews, Freddie Lewis, Arkansas, Calvin C. Johnson, Chicago, Illinois and Willie Lewis, Michigan City, Indiana; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings, Johnnie B. Richardson, Roosevelt Bryant, George Jiles, Zana Moshall, Charlie Bryant, Mattie Mae Johnson and nieces, Mattie Mae Johnson, Shirley Lewis and Bettie Lewis; nephews, James Willie Lewis, LC Lewis, Johnnie B. Lewis and Rickey Lewis.
