Doris Ann White-Ross was born June 30th, 1950 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to Bryson and Wilma White. After moving to Michigan City, Indiana in 1952, Doris confessed Christ Jesus at an early age at First Baptist Church of Lakeland. She moved her membership to Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church. She attended Elston High School.

On June 6th, 1968 she married Charles E. Ross and to this union five children were born, Dennis, Desiray, Stefanie, Kimberley and Lamont. In 1978 she relocated to St. Paul, Minnesota until her health started to fail, and she came back to Michigan City, Indiana in 2010 to be with her loving daughter.

Doris Ann White-Ross departed this life on Sunday, August 20th, 2017 at Hospice Franciscan Communities. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryson and Wilma White; one brother, Samuel White; two sisters, Linda White and Murlo Cotton; one daughter, Desiray Ross-Robinson and a special sister-in-law, Barbara White.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four children, two sons, Dennis White of Michigan City, Indiana and Lamont (Nicole) Ross of Rochester; two daughters, Stefanie (Terrence) Ellis both of Michigan City, Indiana and Kimberley Ross of Redwing, Minnesota; four sisters, Mattie Banks and Carol Washington both of Michigan City, Indiana, Anita (Alec) Smith of Little Rock, Arkansas and Betty White of Michigan City, Indiana; four brothers, Robert (Bobbie) White of Michigan City, Indiana, Bryson White Jr. of Portage, Wisconsin, Otis White of Detroit, Michigan and Steve White of Richfield, Minnesota; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one uncle, William Eckwood and one aunt, Eloyce Johnson both of Little Rock, Arkansas; a special love of forty years, Michael Frazier, special friends, Willie Deal and Sheila Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
