Demetrice C. Taylor

Demetrice “Texas” Cornell Taylor the “baby” and youngest of two children was born October 2, 1977 in Longview, Texas the union of Roy Charles Taylor and Frances Anderson.

Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor James Anderson to officiate. Viewing will be 10am Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the church until the time of service.

In 1993, Demetrice moved to Michigan City, Indiana with his parents James and Frances Anderson and his brother.  He obtained his GED. He worked for CVG for several months. Demetrice was a loving son, father and brother. He did not meet any strangers, he was a free-hearted person, he loved everyone and he was always happy, everyone loved him except satan, who comes to steal, kill and destroy, he tragically transitioned from this life to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 8, 2019.

Demetrice leaves to cherish his memories, the Love of his life, Daralice Williams, Michigan City; his children, Tayana Morris, Jaccara and Diamontae Taylor all of Lynchburg, Virginia, Austin, Aaliyah, Aaron and Avery Williams all of Michigan City, Jibria Jackson of LaPorte; father, Roy Charles Taylor of Longview, Texas and mother, Frances (Rev. James) Anderson of Michigan City; brother, Deondrick (Katrina) Taylor, Michigan City; sisters, LaShelia Mitchell and Katherine Davis both of Dallas, Texas and Beverly Anderson of Longview, Texas; special sisters, Kim and Co-Co; two grandchildren, Titan and Messiah; nieces and nephews, Alwaise, Roselle and Keondre` Taylor all of Michigan City and a host of other special relatives and friends.

Demetrice was preceded in death by his bestfriend, Ornice Hollins; grandfathers, Benjamin Taylor, Griffin McCoy Sr.; grandmother, Vera Mae Taylor.
