Clarence Jerome Nixon III

Clarence Jerome Nixon III, departed this life on June 20, 2019 at Simmons Loving Care Facility, Gary, Indiana.

Cremation will take place and a Memorial Celebration will be at a later date.

Clarence was born September 23, 1957 in Michigan City, Indiana to the union of Clarence II and Ethel M. (Young) Nixon.

He attended Elston high school. Clarence enjoyed fishing, detailing cars, cooking and yard work. He accepted Christ as his Savior, he attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and he later became a member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Barry Spencer in South Bend, Indiana.

Clarence leaves to mourn his memories, Ethel Nixon, Artinia A. Rogers, Karim Mitchell, Carolyn Nixon, Marie Nixon, Jerome Nixon, Cynthia Nixon, Ron Nixon, Stephen Nixon and Tatiana Cason; one sister, Kathy Nixon and one brother, Johnny Nixon; three uncles, Herbert Young, John Young and Henry Young; two aunts, Jean Holt and Katherine Stevenson; special friends Sylvester Jackson, Mamie Trotter, Irvin Walker, Terry Washington and Angie Corley; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents; two sisters, Mary Nixon and Patty Nixon; one brother, Bruce Nixon.
