Ashley Blake Obituary

Ashley Tashianna Blake made her heavenly transition on January 10, 2020.

Funeral services will be 12pm, Friday, January 24, 2020 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church 730 West 6th Street with Rev. Jacarra Williams to give the eulogy. Burial will take place in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Viewing will be 11am, Friday, January 24, 2020 at the church until the time of service.

ASHLEY Tashianna Blake was born August 3, 1988 at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, IL to Harriett Joyce Blake and Ernest Jerome Bivens.

ASHLEY attended Avalon Park Elementary School as well as South Shore High School for half of her freshman year both schools in Chicago, IL.  Later her family moved to Michigan City, IN where she attended Michigan City High School. In her adult years she became a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Michigan City, IN.

ASHLEY worked at Michiana Recourses while residing in Michigan City, IN where her clients adored her dearly. ASHLEY always had a passion for fashion and styling hair as a young adult and pursued her dreams by attending Empire Beauty School at Speedway after relocating to Indianapolis, IN due to  being diagnose with heart complications and soon after receiving a heart transplant on March 1, 2018 she had to put school on hold but soon after she recovered from surgery, she went back to school and graduated "ON TIME" AS IF SHE NEVER TOOK A BREAK and  gained her Cosmetology license (SHE WAS SOOOO HAPPY and her family and friends were happy for her as well) soon after she started her own called Enhanced Beauty Kreations. She was currently employed at Indiana FSSA/Division of Family Recourses, Sally Beauty Supply and was a stylist at Hollywood Crazi Stylez Suites.

ASHLEY was an energetic, happy, go getter that she let nothing stop her from achieving HER GOALS. She was an independent woman who took care of her kids very well. Her children was her life and she would do anything for them. She was a joy to be around and will light up a room when she enter.

ASHLEY had this thing about getting and receiving phone calls. No matter the time of day it was, whenever she call you or you call her she will pick up replying "MORNIN" and you automatically respond back "MORNIN"

ASHLEY was preceded in death by her grandfathers; A.C Blake and Willie F. Lee and her father Ernest Jerome Bivens.

ASHLEY leaves to cherish:  her mother Harriett Joyce Blake; her Grandmother Minnie Blake; her children Xzavia 14, Xzaviona 9 and Xzavier 4; her fiance' Antione Woodard; brothers: Dwight Blake, Jerome (Christina) Bivens, Dartanya Stevenson, Demetrius Ditiway, and Derrick Tate; Sisters: Monique Bivens; Thenther "Rene" Ditiway; Shemika Bivens; Pastor Kenyata Hawkins; and Tamera Duncan; special aunt, Juanita Redd; favorite cousins, Michael and Sean Johnson, Keith Blake, Billy Williams and Jonathan Smith Jr., and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and her beloved friends
