Anthony C. Waters-EL

Anthony Charles Waters-EL, 49, of Michigan City, Indiana departed this life October 5, 2018.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Monday, October 15, 2018 at Coleman and Hicks Chapel, viewing will be 10:00 am, on October 15, 2018 at the Chapel until time of service. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Anthony C. Waters-EL the son of Arthur Waters Jr, and Gwendolyn Hood, was born March 1, 1969 in Gary, Indiana. 

He graduated in 1987 from Elston High School, during that time he was a band member, and he played football.  After High School he attended IU University where he received a Bachelors degree. He was a Fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi. He enjoyed traveling, family cruises, golf, driving, computers, but most of all taking care of his beloved Mother.

He became a member of the Moorish Science Temple of America, Temple #1; Chicago, Illinois on July 20, 2001 and proclaimed his Nationality as a Moorish American. Over the years due to his diligence and hard work he was raised to the level of Sheik within M.S.T. of A, Temple #1. Throughout his journey our beloved Brother was a member of numerous other Spiritual Organizations. He was a teacher and researcher, as well as a Co-Instructor with the Moorish School of Law & History

Anthony-EL leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother, Gwendolyn Hood of Michigan City, IN; his father, Arthur T. Waters Jr, of Gary, IN; special mother, Elaine George; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Waters of Portage, IN: one sister, Whitney Waters of Horn lake, MS; one brother, Thomas Waters, of Gary, IN; four aunts, LaTanya (Harland) Stewart of Laporte, IN; Gwendolyn Waters and Kellee Waters both of Portage, IN; Melissa (Dejuan) Williams of Fort Wayne, IN; four uncles, Ronald Hood of Indianapolis, IN; Byron (Barbara) Hood of Greenville, MS; Wayne (Linda) Hood of Gary, IN; Dennis (Donna) Hood of Michigan City, IN: special cousins, DaShawn Holmes, Edward Willis Hood Jr, and Shalonda Hood-Rice, special brother, Brian George, and his Kappa Brothers and Moorish Family, special friend, Lisa Butler, along with a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.

Anthony-EL was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles Nelson Hood Sr., and Clara B. Hood, his paternal grandfather, Arthur Waters Sr., cousins, Tommie Allison II, and Kevin Hood Jr. He will be missed by all that knew him.
