She enjoyed life to the fullest and travelling.

Alberta leaves to cherish her fond memories, her mother, Geraldine Thomas of Michigan City, Indiana; her one and only daughter, Sandy Thomas; three grandchildren, Tyree, James and Devanta; three great grandchildren; five sisters, Pearline (Henry) Lawshea, Ella Mae (Tommy) Frye, Debbie (Eddie) Wimberly, Judy Thomas and Sandra Thomas "Pooky"; four brothers, McKinnley (Doris) Thomas, Mark, David and Jimmy Thomas; special sister, Josie Jenkins and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by, her father, Roosevelt Thomas; two sisters, Rudy Jean Thomas and Lonzetta Tallhammer and one brother, James Thomas.
