Mrs. Willie B. Bones
December 21, 1931 ~ September 25, 2017 (age 85) 85 Years OldMrs. Willie B. Bones, 85, departed this life on Sept. 25, 2017 at Horizon Home Care & Hospice of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 11am, Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church 3007 South Ohio Street with the eulogy to be given by Pastor Luster Lewis. Viewing will be 10am, Saturday at the church until the time of service.
Mrs. Bones was born December 21, 1931 in Ford City, Arkansas to the late Willie Bones and Esther Lee Daniels. On December 25, 1950 she married Leon Bones, who preceded her in death on December 16, 2005.
Mrs. Bones was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mother’s Board. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and making quilts. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and blessing to her grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories, seven children, Joe Bones, Pine Bluff, AR; Diana (Michael) Goodwin, Milwaukee, WI; Curtis (Delores) Bones, Indianapolis, IN; Clementine Yarber, Michigan City, IN; Bobbie (Eddie) Byrd, Atlanta, GA; Leestha Bones, Milwaukee, WI and Steven (Angela) Bones, Indianapolis, IN; daughter-in-law, Ruth Bones, San Bernardino, CA; one adopted son, Jermaine (Elizabeth) Henderson, Clinton, IA; siblings, DC Young and Curtis Young both of Dumas, AR; Sally M. Lane-Coleman and Erma Lane both of Yuba City, CA and Charles R. Lane, Bakersfield, CA; brother-in-laws, Olee (Brendetta) Bones, La Palm, CA and A.W. Bones, Dallas, TX; sister-in-law, Georgia Miller, Saginaw, MI; special daughters, Theresa Smith, LaPorte, IN; First Lady Dana (Rev. Allen) Briggs, Sandra Briggs and Lisa Nichols all of Michigan City, IN; special friends, Alma Morris, Michigan City, IN; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-seven, great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three children, Esther Lee Bones, Princeton Bones and Lorenzo Bones; one son-in-law, Dwight Yarber, siblings, Carl Lee Young, Arleen Young and Willie Lane Jr.
