Michele B. Samuels 59, of Michigan City, Indiana departed this life on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Valparaiso Care and Rehab Center.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 29, 2017 11am to 1pm at Coleman & Hicks Funeral Chapel.

Michele was born  on December 2, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Thomas P. Cochran and Melba (Romer) Brown.  On July 30, 1995 in Michigan City, Indiana, she married, Arthur Samuels.

Michele attended college and enlisted in the United States Army. She worked as a cashier at Walgreens for six years. Michele loved listening to music.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Arthur Samuels of Michigan City, Indiana; six children, LaVonda Cochran, South Bend, Indiana,  Thomas Samuels, Jonathon Samuels and Jason (Rebecca) Samuels both of Michigan City, Indiana, Melba Samuels, South Bend, Indiana and James Samuels, Michigan City, Indiana; two brothers, Michael Cochran and Paul Cochran both of Michigan City, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Dion Hall, Jr., A’leia Hall, Alanah Vesey, Zaila Thornton, Raine Thornton, Ja’Mya Samuels, Darnell Samuels, Dimitri Traylor, Demetrius Traylor and Jayden Samuels; three special friends, Sabrina Matthews, Lavern Dunlap and Brenda Patrick and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents.
