Lloyd was born August 5, 1955 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Lloyd Drake Sr., and Helen (Hyman) Hall.

He enjoyed riding his bike.

Lloyd leaves to mourn his memories, his children, Sean (Mika) Drake of Powder Springs, Georgia and Soell Hudson of Marietta, Georgia; one sister, Kasetta Hicks of Jacksonville, Florida and one brother, Julian R. Avery of Chicago, Illinois and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Clausen Drake-Thompson.
