Dorion D Tompkins
November 6, 1996 ~ April 9, 2017 (age 20) 20 Years OldDorion Tompkins was born to Asia Latasha Fields and Waldel Tompkins on November 6, 1996 in Chicago, IL. Dorion graduated Ariel Elementary School and attended Morgan Park High School in Chicago. Dorion became the loving father of two beautiful girls, Madison and Denim. Dorion worked at Walgreens and UPS. His last job was working for Interfaith Management as a Security Guard in Chicago. Dorion gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was a member at Salem Baptist Church.
Dorion loved spending time with his precious little girls. He enjoyed basketball, football, rapping, and listening to music. He received awards in Jitsu, Poetry Slam, and Dog Socialization and Training with Safe Humane Chicago. He loved his little sister Jalen, even though they experienced sibling rivalry, their bond of loved was unbreakable. He also enjoyed events with his family and friends during holidays and family gatherings. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, especially his god brother, Lyric.
Dorion departed this life on April 9, 2017 at 8:00pm. His grandfather, Curtis Poole; grandmother, Renee Fields; uncle, Gayle Fields; his great grandmother Josephine Fields; and his step brother, Malcolm Stalling, all preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his two daughters, Madison (Nneka) and Denim (Ashanti); mother, Asia (Lenard); father, Waldel; four sisters, Jalen, Shekel, Dayishiunna, and Faith; five brothers, Waldel, Jr., Delmarius, Delmontae, Brennan, and Kanye; eight step brothers and sisters; grandmother, Charlene; grandfather, Wallace; godparents, Ernest & Misha Thompson, Samika, and Yolanda. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be 11am, Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Salem Baptist Church 752 East 114th Street, Chicago, Illinois with Rev. Dion Griffin, Officiating.
