Dexter Anthony Eckwood Sr. was born in Michigan City, IN on April 23, 1972 to Roy Lee Eckwood and Juanita (Eckwood) Macon who proceded him in death.  His spirit departed on September 13, 2017 at 4:15am.

Memorial services will be 12pm Saturday, September 23, 2017 at First Pentecostal Missionary Baptist Church 509 Karwick Road, Michigan City, Indiana with the Troy Campbell to officiate.

He accepted Christ at an early age. Dexter graduated from Rogers High School in 1992. He lived in Michigan City for most of his life, and then he moved to Fort Wayne, IN. Dexter love to spend time with his family and love making people laugh. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Missionary Baptist Church which is his family church. He was a loving brother and faithful friend and he will be truly missed.

Dexter leaves two sons, Dexter (Loreal) Eckwood Jr., of Michigan City, IN and Tyler Eckwood of Bloomington, IN; three sisters, Carlotta (Alphonso) Crosby, Jackie (Johnnie) Flowers and Felicia Eckwood all of Michigan City, IN; three brothers, Roy (May) Eckwood of Washington, D.C., Tim (Tara) Eckwood of Clarksville, TN and Titus (Crystal) Eckwood of Seaford, DE; stepfather, William Macon of Michigan City, IN; grandchildren, Mariah Lashelle Williams, Sophia Marie Williams, Aria Lynn Eckwood and Aaliyah Christine Eckwood all of Michigan City, IN. He also leaves behind, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
