Dana Da'London Matthews was born on September 8, 1998 in Chicago, Illinois to Nadine Pearson and Allen Matthews. He was their first-born child.

Dana accepted Christ at an early age at Peter Rock Church of God in Christ, Chicago, Illinois. Dana graduated from Carnegie Elementary School and attended Hyde Park High School. Dana was known as a loving person who loved his family and friends. Dana always showed his family and friends the best side of him and that is how he will be remembered as a person full of laughter and love, forever smiling.

Dana Da'London Matthews called home June 12, 2017.He was preceded in death by two cousins,  Da'London Pearson and Criag Wisp.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving mother, Nadine Pearson; father, Allen Matthews; grandparents, Arletta Pearson, Andrea Adams and Thelma Pearson; aunts, Natasha Pearson, Natalie Pearson, Yolanda Williams, Earline Wasp and Denise Williams; uncles, Nathaniel Jenkins and Mario Matthews; girlfriend, Deja Dungy and baby, Damari Williams; sister, Asiyah Matthews; two older brothers and three older sisters and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
